- create a vote.html file in your public_html directory, outlining
previous experience and future ideas for Compsoc.
Nominations are open until midnight Sunday 14th March. Voting will open
after the Compsoc AGM (15 March) and close at midnight Sunday 21 March. More
details regarding the voting process will follow.
Executive positions and their responsibilities are:
President:
has vision for COMPSOC, chairs meetings, delegates and follows up on
tasks, co-signs cheques.
Vice President
supports President in tasks, takes over where necessary, co-signs
cheques.
Secretary
Organises meetings and agenda, records and distributes minutes of each
meeting, liaise with outside entities.
Treasurer
seeks and organises funding, prepares annual budget, ensures budget is
kept, has up to date knowledge of funds, co-signs cheques.
Technical Officers (2 positions)
Resposible for webpage, linux support, servers.
Publicity Officer
Designs and distributes posters announcing events, blitzing at
lectures, organises sponsorship/prizes with Treasurer.
Women's Officer (must be a female student)
student representative for women, organises events, WIC Rep in Compsoc.
CASOC Officer
attends monthly CASOC meetings, organises CASOC funding for club.
1st Year Reps (2 positions, must be doing a COMP1XXX subject)
Represent views/ideas of first year students while helping to organise
events, encourage first year student participation at events.
2nd Year Reps (2 positions, must have completed a COMP1XXX subject)
Represent views/ideas of second year students while helping to organise
events, encourage second year student participation at events.
